Autism Acceptance Month at Bagel Bazaar

bagels

April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the diversity and strengths of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). At Bagel Bazaar, we are proud to support this important cause by launching our specialty Autism Ribbon Bagels, shaped and colored to resemble the Autism awareness ribbons. Throughout April, all proceeds from the sales of these special bagels will be donated to Autism NJ, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with Autism and their families.

Understanding Autism

Autism is a lifelong developmental condition that typically manifests during early childhood, affecting an individual's social, communication, and relationship skills. According to recent statistics, 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with Autism, and the diagnostic rate continues to rise by 10-17% each year. It is now recognized as the fastest-growing developmental disability in the United States. While there is currently no cure for autism, organizations like Autism NJ play a crucial role in providing support, resources, and treatments to improve the quality of life for individuals on the spectrum.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

At Bagel Bazaar, we believe in the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We recognize that every person is unique and valuable, regardless of their neurodiversity. By partnering with Autism NJ, we aim to not only raise funds but also awareness about Autism and promote acceptance and understanding within our community. By embracing neurodiversity and celebrating differences, we can foster a community where every individual feels valued and accepted.

Join Us in Making a Difference

Throughout the month of April, we invite you to join us in supporting Autism Acceptance Month. Autism Ribbon Bagels will be available for online orders at bagelbazaar.com and in-store at participating locations. We offer 24-count boxes, or bagels by the dozen, half-dozen or single order. Together, we can make a difference and spread the message of acceptance, understanding, and inclusion for people with Autism and their families. Thank you for your support!
